The American church has been infiltrated by the enemy.

I've talked for years about the battlefronts of America's cold civil war: media, entertainment, academia, technology, business, science and government. Originally, I argued that there were seven battlefronts. But I’ve realized there are eight.

What is the eight? Tragically, it’s the church.

Church is supposed to be where followers of Jesus gather to worship God in spirit and truth, encourage one another, and hear the Word of God proclaimed.

But for far too many in America, it's become a superficial social club with little to no depth at all. Topical preaching that jumps from subject to subject and never helps believers build any real, substantive knowledge of the Scriptures.

And in the worst cases, we see people filling the pulpit who want to remake the church into something that fits their own worldview.

Case in point: “Reverend” Babs Miller, a so-called minister at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas. That's the church James Talarico — the Democrat running for the U.S. Senate in Texas — has attended since he was a kid.

In undercover footage released by The Daily Wire, this "pastor" says the virgin birth came out of the pagan belief that the gods came down and impregnated people. She says we have no way of knowing if Jesus really existed — and that it doesn't really matter to her either way.

She says the God of the Old Testament is a vengeful, killing-people kind of God. She says Jesus wasn't put on the cross to save us. She says it could have all been made up.

And she describes faith in Christ like a 12-step program. Take what you want and leave the rest. Whatever their itching ears want to hear, my friends.

She's a lesbian minister who affirms homosexual sin. She tells people to rely on their own understanding when they think about God and the Bible. Scripture tells us the exact opposite.

And that vengeful, Old Testament God? That's the God who made a covenant with Abraham and carried both sides of it Himself. That covenant is the very road that led us to the promised Messiah — Christ Jesus Himself.

She's spiritually illiterate. And she's a "pastor" to boot — something she isn't qualified for, for a myriad of reasons.

At Pine View School in Sarasota County, Florida — one of the nation's most prestigious schools (whatever that's supposed to mean) — a history teacher is accused of targeting a student for his conservative views.

This social justice warrior targeted an 8th grader, who’s probably barely a teenager. How brave and woke of her.

According to a letter from Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, the teacher, Liz Ballard, kept pulling the boy into political discussions after his parents had specifically said he wasn't to take part in them.

She allegedly used him as "the conservative perspective" in her classroom, labeled him a misogynist (how loving of her), spread that around the school, and made disparaging remarks about his father.

Did I mention this kid is only an 8th grader?

Uthmeier says if the allegations are true, she should be fired and never teach in Florida again. He's given the district until October 1 to report what it's doing about it. The superintendent says the district is taking the concerns seriously.

How pathetic.

I listen to people on the left tell me how little they respected Charlie Kirk and others who went onto college campuses to debate young adults. But a teacher going after a middle schooler is apparently ok? Give me a break.

Good teachers should challenge our ideas and our ability to think.

But they should not cancel, intimidate, indoctrinate, humiliate or pressure kids into adopting their politics. How insecure of her.

I can almost guarantee there is at least one teacher or administrator in your local school district who thinks the same way. They believe this is the job. They may be lying low, but one day they will pounce.

And if there's one person like this at your school, how long until there are two. Or three. Or ten. Not as long as you may think.

My practical advice? Meet your kids' teachers as early in the school year as you can. Don't wait until a problem comes up and you’re meeting them in a tense situation.

Keep the relationship going. Pay attention to what your child is learning. Talk with him or her about it. Stay intimately involved. And if necessary, intervene — without hesitation.
