Eleven jurors in the Lindsay Clancy case were ready to acquit her because they did not find her criminally responsible for her actions. One juror would not go along.

That juror is the only black man on that panel.

One of the other jurors, Paula Devlin, has been making the rounds in the media since the mistrial. On Friday, she sat down with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.

Gayle King asked her about the makeup of the jury. Devlin said they ranged from about 70 years old down to 22, and that everybody was white except for one black person.

Gayle King probed a little further, wanting to know if that person was a man or a woman. Devlin indicated he was a man.

Gayle King paused, sensing the gravity of the question she was about to ask. “Is the holdout juror a black man?,” she asked.

Devlin indicated that he is.

Gayle King, in woke, dramatic fashion, stopped cold. "I have to sit with that for just a second."

Oh, give me a break. What on earth is so earth-shattering that you have to sit with the fact that the juror who insisted on Lindsay Clancy being found guilty is a black man?

There is a whole class of people in this country who cannot process anything that happens outside the prism of the identity of the people involved in the story. Gayle King is just one of many.

A crime is alleged. A verdict comes down. Two people have a disagreement. Before any of it can mean anything to people like Gayle King, they need the demographics of both sides.

And once they give those demographics to you, you have about two-tenths of a second to pick which side you're on, according to the delusional worldview espoused by the Radical Left.

To further complicate matters, those who live inside Radical Leftist circles demonstrate their virtue by siding with a person based upon their race, gender, ethnicity, and/or sexual orientation.

Under the silly rules these folks have been operating under for years, put eleven white jurors and one black juror in a deliberation room and they would typically tell you that the eleven white jurors should check their privilege and let the lone black man speak. (Especially if he turns out to be gay, as some have speculated.)

The eleven white people are supposed to sit down, be quiet, and listen to him. After all, they should understand how their privilege interferes with their ability to look at things objectively.

And if this plays out the way the left typically suggests it should, the eleven white jurors should simply amend their positions so as to fit with the position of the lone black juror.

This is essentially what they tell the rest of us to do about virtually everything else in our society today.

But this time, the answer came back differently than they had hoped. So a network personality had to stop and sit with it during a live television interview.

This whole thing is an absolute joke. And it demonstrates the absolute moral bankruptcy of what we've come to know as identity politics.

Devlin has said publicly that the lone black juror kept coming back to how methodical Lindsay Clancy's actions were — that she did it one at a time, and then took all the steps she took after killing her children.

Devlin also acknowledged that her fellow jurors may have made the lone holdout juror feel attacked with all the pressure they were asserting on him, causing their attempts to persuade him to backfire.

It makes no difference to me — the race, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation of this lone juror.

But it sounds like this guy stood on business, took his job seriously, and wasn't about to be pressured into a decision with which he didn't agree by eleven woke white people.

Devlin was back on CBS over the weekend, and she talked about a turning point in the deliberation room.

Here's what she said.

"We knew that this was a turning point and this would be something that could change something to make it better for other women in the future, for other families."

Then she added: "Justice for those children is this never happening again."

This is not how someone who follows the evidence speaks, my friends. She didn't say they suddenly began to see the evidence differently. Instead, she said they saw an opportunity to make things better for other women in society.

What on earth does that have to do with determining a just verdict in this case? Let me answer that for you: absolutely nothing.

You're not sent into a deliberation room for other women or to make “societal change.”

You are sent in to look at the evidence, to discuss the arguments, and to decide whether the state proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

That's it. Pure and simple.

And justice for Cora, Dawson, and Callan is not a policy outcome. Justice for those three children is holding the person who took their lives accountable.

But identity politics always seems to step in and ruin everything it touches.

To the Radical Leftist, there is a formula for deciding who is responsible, and it is never the individual who actually made the choice and took the action.

One of the tenets of modern leftist "thought" is that we are all collectively responsible for everything everyone else does, and yet somehow we're not personally responsible for anything we actually do ourselves.

Unless, of course, you're a conservative, a business owner, a man, a white person, or a Christian. Then you're responsible for all of it.

Everything doesn't fit into nice, neat little boxes, my friends. These liberal women have to get their minds around the fact that just because one woman may be guilty, it doesn't mean they were to blame for whatever has happened in their own personal experience. Likewise, just because one man is guilty doesn't implicate the entirety of the male sex.

This is what the most extreme version of feminism does, and it is a morally bankrupt and absolutely insane way to look at the world.

This morally depraved worldview crumbles on a daily, if not hourly, basis. And these clowns still sweep up the pieces and try to rebuild it out of the same shifting sand the next day.

The law matters. Evidence matters. Context matters.

The race, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation of the people in that jury room — or of the people sitting as defendants, or anyone else in all of society — should not matter.

Unfortunately, to those on the left, it is all that matters. That is one reason they continue to destroy everything they touch in our society. And they will continue to do so until we stop them, my friends.

A network anchor needed a second to decide how to feel about a juror once she knew his race and his biological sex. More foreign to me that could not be. But what do you think?

James Talarico is the Democrat running for the United States Senate seat in Texas. He faces Ken Paxton on November 3.

In a 2021 hearing, Talarico said there are six biological sexes.

Last Wednesday, Fox News' Brooke Taylor asked him whether he still believes that. He said no.

"I've missed the mark on some of my past statements," he told her. "I was the first to admit it."

Talarico said what he was trying to communicate is that there are two sexes, and that a small percentage of people have genetic abnormalities.

Taylor pressed back, telling Talarico that's not what he meant.

Talarico then responded, "I obviously didn't say it correctly. There are not six sexes. There are two."

Then came what his handlers told him to use based upon focus group responses. Talarico argued that politicians want to talk about six sexes because they don't want to talk about six-dollar diesel.

Taylor continued to press, asking him to clarify that there are only two sexes — men and women. Talarico said absolutely.

But all of this is pure political theater.

On extremely rare occasions, my friends, I may misspeak on this program. Typically the reason, of course, is that my rapidly firing brain is so fast that my mouth has difficulty keeping up. So on occasion I say something wrong. It is incredibly rare, and you could probably count it on a single hand, no doubt.

Take it easy, my friends. I'm merely joking. I never misspeak! 😉

But saying something incorrectly is what misspeaking actually is. What Talarico did is not.

You don't accidentally tell a legislative hearing there are six biological sexes. That was his position. He held it because he believed it, or because the people whose support he needed to hear him say it.

He's done the same thing regarding men in women's sports. He now says he's against it if it creates an advantage. As a state representative, his vote was in support of biological men playing in women’s sports.

And what does he mean if it creates an advantage?

Of course it creates an advantage when adult men compete against adult women in sports.

We have two daughters. Both of them have played co-ed soccer in elementary and middle school.

In my experience, girls at that age may not yet be at the age where there's a huge gap in size and strength. Put the top high school boys against the top high school girls, and you'll find that gap in a hurry.

Heck, put the top high school boys against the WNBA All-Star team and you'll find that gap in a hurry. This is not hard to understand.

Talarico is changing his tune not because he had an epiphany and suddenly realized that there are only two sexes, and that men have biological advantages over women in sports.

He simply has an upcoming election and a seat that the Democrats desperately need if they want to win the Senate.

Talarico is a wolf in sheep's clothing, pretending he's been consistent on common sense issues like this and that the people listening to his absurd responses are the ones to blame.

That’s ridiculous. Talarico is to blame.

But Texan voters will bear the responsibility if they elect this lunatic in November.
