I'm Voting a Straight Republican Ticket. I Hope You Do the Same.
My friends, Election Day is only 27 days from today.
And I’m going to vote a straight Republican ticket.
I hope you do the same.
Let me be clear. I'm a Christian first. I'm an American second. And I'm a conservative third.
Truth be told, I don't even consider myself a Republican. I typically vote for them, but often only because they're the lesser of two evils we have to choose from.
I have plenty of problems with some individual Republicans. Some are nothing more than big wimps. Some are make-believe conservatives.
Or worse yet, they're moderates who'd rather compromise whatever principles they have in exchange for bipartisanship — which is only considered a virtuous pursuit when Republicans hold political power, and not vice versa. Weird.
I'm not even going to try to convince you that every Republican on the ballot is a top-tier candidate. Truth is, they are often unimpressive — and perhaps even unlikeable.
But voting red in the midterms is 100% what we need to do.
I hate to state the obvious, but someone is going to hold political power after the midterms. And the best outcome is for Republicans to win.
A Democrat victory puts an end to Trump's agenda. That alone should be enough to motivate you to vote Republican. After all, Trump's agenda is one of the few legitimate bright spots in Republican politics today.
If Democrats win, they'll almost certainly try to impeach Trump a third time. Some of them have already pushed impeachment this summer when they didn't have power. Why would they stop if they controlled Congress?
We'd also get a very unhealthy dose of socialism, transgenderism and wokeism.
If we lose the Senate and a Supreme Court seat opens up, Trump's pick won't get confirmed.
It will be two solid years of investigations, sham hearings and political theater. And it won't even be good political theater.
Instead, it will be a two-year campaign designed to trick Americans into voting for some leftist lunatic for president in 2028.
We can't let that happen.
We need to vote Republican, keep pushing Trump's agenda, and use the next two years to make the GOP a little more conservative. Then we need to wash, rinse and repeat every two years from here until the end of time.
Yes, the Republican Party is not ideal. But it's better than anything the Democrats have to offer — by light years.
We can't wait until Republicans are perfect to support them. We need to choose the better option. And between elections, we need to focus on shifting the Republican Party right.
This is the only solution that makes any sense if we love and care about the future of America.
This may very well mean you have to hold your nose and vote for a candidate you personally dislike. But that's certainly better than sitting it out and watching the Democrats push socialism, transgenderism and overall moral depravity down our throats.
WNBA Playoff Ratings Reportedly Dropped as Much as 75% After Caitlin Clark Went Home
We all know the WNBA is an absolute joke.
They can't define "woman," which is the first word in their organization's name.
Players complain about being paid much less than the men, even though they owe their entire existence to the men of the NBA.
And they hate — I mean absolutely hate — Caitlin Clark, who, like it or not, is the league's transformational superstar.
The officials let petty players in this league take cheap shots at Caitlin.
Their preferred superstar, A'ja Wilson, carried on like an absolute fool in the Aces' Game 2 loss to the Fever last week, walking into the courtside seats to aggressively confront a male fan who did exactly what fans do at professional playoff basketball games.
It made her look weak and pathetic, not tough and inspiring as she had hoped.
Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve wore a "Trans Kids Belong" shirt to a game against the Fever and publicly went after the position Sophie Cunningham had dared to take: that women's sports should be for biological women.
And the league's commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, no-showed a scheduled interview with Dan Patrick this summer rather than answer tough, fair questions about the league under her leadership.
It's a train wreck of a league with very few bright spots.
And the brightest spot in the league has been — and will continue to be — Caitlin Clark.
Need proof?
Since Caitlin and the Fever were eliminated by the Aces, WNBA playoff viewership has reportedly dropped by as much as 75%.
The Fever's first-round opener reportedly averaged about 2.1 million viewers. The Valkyries-Aces semifinal on NBC and Peacock drew roughly 500,000. The Dream-Liberty game drew about 654,000.
The WNBA should be grateful to Caitlin Clark. But instead, they express petty jealousies of her.
Forget that she single-handedly got them on private jets and got them all a raise. Instead of thanking her, they choose to hate her. And some of them absolutely cannot hide it.
They hate her not only because they're jealous of her, but because she's a straight, white, Catholic girl who isn't interested in virtue signaling for the cause of the moment. She'd rather focus on basketball. Who could imagine?!
The pressure is high on Caitlin to turn to the dark side. And the jury is still out on whether she'll cave. So far, so good. But we'll see if she can stand firm.
Indiana is the best place in the league for her to be. Her fan base here is largely good, normal, even conservative people.
And she has the support of one of the NBA's most unnecessarily hated players, a guy with a good head on his shoulders: Tyrese Haliburton.
The WNBA doesn't deserve Caitlin. In fact, they deserve for her to pack up shop and take her talents somewhere they actually appreciate and respect her — even if she has to create that place herself.
After all, she may have a big enough personal brand to pull that off.
