Ilhan Omar wants you to believe that Trump is targeting her with lawfare. But that's simply not what the evidence suggests.

Federal agents searched Omar's Washington, DC home on October 12, and at least a dozen subpoenas have gone out since. There are reportedly two parts to the investigation: financial and immigration.

The financial investigation is looking into Omar's finances and her interactions with a foreign citizen.

The immigration investigation is looking into whether Omar and her father lied on paperwork that was used to grant Ilhan Omar citizenship.

Her family fled war-torn Somalia when she was a young girl and came to the United States in 1995. Her father became a citizen in 2000. Under the rules, Ilhan could become a citizen through her father only if she was still a minor.

Omar says she was 17. But for years, the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library listed her birth year as 1981, which would have made her adult at the time she was granted citizenship. In 2019, after she was elected to Congress, her staff asked the library to change her birthdate to 1982 in the reference library.

The search of her home was signed off on by a federal magistrate judge who reportedly donated to Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign, making this a far cry from what Omar’s claim that this is political retribution by Trump.

Not only that, but it has been reported that both of these investigations were reportedly opened under the Biden administration. That makes Omar’s claims really bad political theater and fake news.

Omar isn't being targeted by Trump. She's being pursued because there is evidence that she broke federal immigration law.

If these any of these charges are proven, Omar could face jail time or deportation. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin has already said that if they can prove she shouldn't have been here in the first place, she'll be deported.

Europe has finally decided to push back against mass Islamic immigration across the continent.

She seems to have finally understood that Islamists and groups like the Muslim Brotherhood are working to overwhelm and weaken Europe from within.

On October 8, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for an EU strategy to counter "Islamist entryism" and the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood network. The vote was 381 in favor, 167 against and 15 abstentions.

It was drafted by French MEP Céline Imart on behalf of the European People's Party.

The resolution asks the EU to tighten the checks on where its money goes, so that funding stops reaching groups tied to political Islam. It asks whether Muslim Brotherhood-linked organizations belong on the EU's terrorist list. And it calls for an actual strategy against entryism.

And entryism is exactly the word for what’s happening along Europe’s borders. These Islamists are walking into Europe, using whatever means at their disposal, taking a seat, and changing it culturally and politically from the inside.

Now, the resolution does not ban the Muslim Brotherhood, and it isn't binding. It's a statement of where the Parliament now stands, and a demand that the rest of the EU act on it. Imart called the vote a major doctrinal shift. I call it a small sign that some European politicians are finally starting to wake up to the threat political Islam poses.

Imart said, "Let's stop calling naivety 'dialogue.'"

She’s right. There is a real battle being waged in Europe — and western civilization hangs in the balance.

America should take note of what’s happening in Europe, too. After all, the problems Europe faces seem to make their way into America a few years down the road.

I’m glad to see Europe is finally acting. But have they waited too long to take action? Only time will tell.
