Ilhan Omar Was Asked If Her Ex-Husband Is Her Brother. Her Answer: "Not to My Knowledge."

Well, there you have it.

Ilhan Omar said she didn't marry her brother.

Well, at least not to her knowledge!

I kid you not: that was her answer in her first interview since federal agents searched her Washington, DC, home. It came during an ever-so-hard-hitting sit-down with her apologist and defender, Chris Hayes of MS NOW.

Here's the exchange:

CHRIS HAYES: “The president of the United States is, you know, one of the biggest bullhorns, right? And every time he talks about you, he will casually say something wild about you. Like, he will tweet Ilhan Omar, she married her brother, blah, blah, blah. And you think, you see that, you think, boy, that sounds odd. It seems unlikely that she married her brother. There are right wing people who believe that this man was your brother. You have called it a disgusting lie.”

ILHAN OMAR: “Right.”

CHRIS HAYES: “Who was this man? That was your husband. When did they start saying that he was your brother?”

ILHAN OMAR: “It started with the Somali blog. I don’t know if it still exists, but somebody put in there that, you know that he had to have been my brother or something to that effect. And, right wing conspiracy theorists in Minneapolis got a hold of it, and they just kind of went and found random people who were like, she introduced us. You know, she introduced him to us and said he was her brother. Which is, you know, insane. I mean, I don’t know those people that they talk about.”

CHRIS HAYES: “You were not related to him at all? There’s not something weird kernel of truth?”

ILHAN OMAR: “Not to my knowledge.”

Not to her knowledge?

What on earth is that supposed to mean?

It certainly sounds like she believes it’s at least possible she married her brother — and she’s seeking some level of plausible deniability in case it can be proven otherwise.

Listen, there are certainly times to answer, "Not to my knowledge."

There are instances where something could be going on behind the scenes, and while you believe something to be the case, you might be wrong because of something you aren't aware of.

But do you have a hard time identifying your siblings?

I sure don’t.

Think about it. For the man you married to turn out to be your brother without you knowing it, something pretty wild would have had to happen behind your back.

One of your biological parents would have had to have a child with your spouse's parent. Or perhaps both of your parents would be your spouse's parents.

In what universe would you not know this?

What type of people would your parents have to be?

Did they know you were marrying your brother and not say anything about it?

Did they not know you were marrying your brother — who happened to be their son? How does this remotely make sense at all?

What is going on here?

I've never been to Brazil. And if you asked me, "Have you been to Brazil?" I wouldn't answer, "Not to my knowledge."

But who knows? Maybe I was abducted as a child, drugged and flown to Brazil without my knowledge by space aliens.

Get outta here.

She has had years to prepare an answer to this question. And this is what she came up with — as a media-trained professional deceiver.

Omar and the other members of the Squad are performative politicians. They’re playing a role — and that role is completely and utterly superficial. In at least some cases, these folks are recruited to run for public office by groups like the Justice Democrats. That’s exactly where we got AOC, by the way.

The entirety of this strategy is to find people with certain physical characteristic and personalities that are appealing in identity politics. These folks are then trained to manipulate the media so the policies of the left are more widely accepted.

The identity, personality, and messaging of Ilhan Omar is all she has to offer.

And this is the best response she could muster.

Incredible.

I can't get over this. It is utter nonsense.

In my opinion, this is a borderline confession. This very well could be a “tell” that she knows the evidence they have against her. And she's trying to soften the blow for when the truth is inevitably exposed to the light of day.

Los Angeles Election Officials Told a Federal Court They Have No Independent Way to Verify Voters Are Citizens

My, oh my, how quickly things change when the light of truth shines upon a situation.

Not long ago, we were told it was virtually impossible for someone to cast a ballot who was not eligible to do so — especially if they were in this country illegally.

In fact, I remember satirically saying on the Toddcast that the people illegally walking across our southern border would somehow, inexplicably, maintain the integrity required to keep from illegally walking into a voting booth.

Then, as actual cases of noncitizens voting in our elections came to light, we were told that, of course, it happens sometimes. But it doesn't happen very often at all. These events were once-in-a-lifetime, like a total solar eclipse passing overhead.

Except they keep happening. In June, federal prosecutors in South Florida announced that three noncitizens had pleaded guilty to illegally voting in federal elections, including the 2020 general election.

And on Monday, the Justice Department charged 28 people in California, including a 72-year-old man in Los Angeles County who is accused of voting illegally in four elections.

When the "once-in-a-lifetime" position became untenable, despite the accomplices in the media and in the Democrat Party, the argument became a version of this: "Well, it's such a small number that it cannot possibly change the election results."

Oh, really?

According to Bill Essayli, the top federal prosecutor in Los Angeles, city election officials there have no independent way to verify whether voters are U.S. citizens — beyond taking their word for it.

"Los Angeles election officials just told a federal court they have no independent way to verify citizenship beyond what voters attest. (They simply take their word for it.)," Essayli wrote in a post on X.

He shared highlighted text from a county court filing in the Justice Department's lawsuit against California over suspected noncitizens on its voter rolls.

That's right, my friends: Los Angeles is voting on the honor system.

Of course, we already knew this. But hearing it from a federal prosecutor may be exactly what some people need in order to accept reality for what it is.

The election system in Los Angeles, the nation's second-largest city with nearly 3.9 million people, is an absolute joke.

Voters don't have to provide documentary proof they are citizens when they register.

And they don't have to show a photo ID when they vote in person.

And that doesn't even begin to address the vulnerabilities of mass vote-by-mail.

California now mails a ballot to every active registered voter in the state. What could possibly go wrong when you dump that many ballots indiscriminately into the mail stream and then accept nearly all of what comes back?

In the 2024 general election, California rejected just 0.9% of mail ballots statewide — and most of those for signature problems or arriving late.

Essayli added, "Under federal law, only citizens may vote in federal elections. Yet California has not acted on the list of 20,000 suspected noncitizens or agreed to set aside their ballots. American citizens' votes are being diluted in California."

As Election Day draws near, the feds have made it clear they are not going to sit idly by while our voting integrity is burned to the ground. According to the article, Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter delivered a blunt message Monday as he announced the 28 charges.

"This Department of Justice will not look the other way while noncitizens vote in federal elections," McCotter said. "Unfortunately the same can't be said for California and LA County."

Trump and House Republicans tried to help prevent this chaos by pushing the SAVE America Act, but it stalled in the Senate due to Democrat opposition and overall Republican wimpiness.

This nonsense has to stop — now.

The fate of our constitutional republic quite literally hangs in the balance.

Today's Poll

Los Angeles election officials told a federal court they have no independent way to verify a voter's citizenship beyond the voter's own sworn statement. Should people have to show proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections?
