Krish Dhanam Is Behind the Mic Today

I'm out this week with my family. And today, Krish Dhanam is filling in behind the microphone.

If you've heard Krish on this program before, you know he has a very unique voice and perspective. He's a first-generation immigrant from India who has been in this country forty years, and he came here legally with nine dollars in his pocket.

He spent years working alongside Zig Ziglar. Today he's Dean of the Patriot Institute at Patriot Academy down in Texas, teaching young Americans early American history and the civic process.

He built the whole show around something he wrote called “the Left's Lariat of Lunacy.” A lariat is a lasso. His question is what that loop has managed to rope in.

He works through a list — defunding the police, abolishing immigration enforcement, race-conscious government policy, compelled speech, and replacing capitalism outright. There's a rodeo running underneath the whole thing, and he has some fun with it.

Along the way he stops on Benjamin Franklin: the family pew at Christ Church in Philadelphia, and Franklin standing up at the Constitutional Convention to ask that they open each day in prayer.

I'm not going to summarize his arguments for him, and I'm not going to tell you what I think of them. He has the microphone today. Go listen.

Conservative, not bitter.

Quote of the Day

I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth — that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?

Benjamin Franklin

I'm Out This Week

I'm away on a Huff family vacation and back the week after, right as August turns to September.

Krish Dhanam and Gary Varvel are filling in behind the mic while I'm gone, and The Inner Circle will still land in your inbox.

Have a good week. See you soon.
