Senator Elissa Slotkin Wants a "Deterrence Message" for Young People Thinking About Working for Trump

Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) has an idea that should terrify anyone who believes in the Constitution and the rule of law.

Speaking at the University of Chicago on October 13, she argued that she wants to intimidate young Republicans from getting involved in the Trump administration by making them worry about what may happen to them after Democrats get control of Congress again. (Let's hope that doesn't happen in the midterms.)

Here is what Slotkin actually said:

❝

"I want to look at these signature cases and not just focus on the president, but on the people who enabled him. I want young people coming out of school to say, should I go work for the Trump administration? Like that sounds fun. I might get an opportunity. I want them to be like, Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don't want, and so let me avoid participating in that. I want that deterrence message."

What's ironic is that as her comments were making the rounds online, President Obama took to X to make the case that President Trump is targeting Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for disagreeing with him politically.

Of course, that simply isn't true.

She is the focus of two investigations — both of which reportedly started under the Biden administration.

The allegations are easy to understand, and the feds will either be able to provide the proof required to invalidate her citizenship or they won't.

But either way, this is not at all the same thing as what Elissa Slotkin is openly calling for. She is quite literally calling for fellow Democrats to target their political opponents.

Omar, on the other hand, is facing scrutiny for alleged violations of the law.

I understand charging political opponents with crimes can be a slippery slope — but not if there is evidence and due process.

Context matters.

As I've said before and will say again here: it's wrong to target people with the criminal justice system because they are your political opponents. (This certainly sounds like what Slotkin is calling for, by the way.)

But it's also wrong to avoid pursuing justice because the people allegedly breaking the law are your political adversaries. (And this is why Omar should be investigated.)

How else do we ever expect to clean up the corruption happening in our country — even within the halls of Congress itself — if we refuse to pursue real, genuine justice?

Only 16 of the 54 Groups Tied to France's Riots Are Youth or Student Organizations

Well, would you lookie there: of the 54 groups and political movements tied to the violent riots in France, only 16 of them are youth or student organizations.

That means that nearly 70% of the groups involved in the French chaos are not who the media told us they were.

Shocking, I know.

Fox News Digital went through the whole list of organizations tied to the riots. The vast majority of them are not student-led organizations. Instead, most of them are communist and socialist groups, labor unions, political parties, international activist and media organizations — and, of course, pro-Palestinian activists.

So we now know, officially, that these are not a bunch of kids running around France burning it to the ground.

These are angry, morally-bankrupt “adults” who actively look for any opening whatsoever to create chaos and turmoil for Western Civilization.

Fox also tied several of them to the Singham network — the web of groups funded by Neville Roy Singham — including Tricontinental, CodePink and BreakThrough News, a media outlet based in New York City. According to the report, those three are primary international players amplifying the unrest.

Those groups are otherwise known here in the United States as "the usual suspects" when it comes to political violence.

Jodie Evans, Singham's wife and the co-founder of CodePink, is now promoting a planned November 10-12 campaign in Washington, DC, to oppose U.S. military spending.

In other words, get ready to see this same chaos and domestic terrorism in a blue city near you soon.

Don't fall for the charade — and don't cower to these clowns.

Stand firm — and vote Republican on Election Day.

Today's Poll

Senator Elissa Slotkin said she wants to go after the people who enabled Trump so young people coming out of school get a "deterrence message" about working for his administration. Is that weaponizing the justice system?
