My friends, eleven years ago today we launched our podcast. It was originally called The Antidote to Liberalism — more on that a little further down — and if you want proof that the "conservative, not bitter" voice still has real work to do, look no further than the mess unfolding in the WNBA this week.

Here's what happened. Two former NBA players, Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White, both officially declared themselves eligible for the 2027 WNBA draft.

Freedom's statement was blunt: "If simply declaring who you are is all that's required, then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA."

White made the same case, noting that at six-foot-eight and 260-plus pounds, he'd have "a huge advantage" in the women's league.

Let's be clear about what this actually is. Neither man wants to play professional women's basketball. This is a stress test and it's further exposing a fundamental and obvious problem that we have been discussing for years.

Pretending men are women is not a virtue. It is delusional. And it’s being exposed for what it is in real time.

Go read the WNBA's own collective bargaining agreement. Article XIII says only players who are women are eligible. Simple enough, except the CBA never actually defines the word "woman." Not once. In a legal document that governs every detail of the league, the one word that names the entire organization — the Women's National Basketball Association — is the one word nobody bothered to define.

That's not an accident, my friends. That's what happens when an institution spends years tiptoeing around the obvious, common-sense answer because saying it out loud would offend some people.

Now the league has to actually decide how they are going to respond. What are they going to do?

Reject the men with no explanation and risk a discrimination lawsuit?

Reject them specifically as men and finally admit there's a real difference between men and women?

Will they try to write a "biological sex" standard and watch the outrage machine turn on them instead?

Will they just ignore it and tell their teams they cannot draft or sign these men?

As if things aren’t bad enough for the WNBA, this past weekend, Indiana's Sophie Cunningham took a vicious, headhunting flagrant foul from Chicago's DiJonai Carrington — who then posted that her ejection was the result of "white privilege." Not the foul. Not sportsmanship. Race. Cunningham's reply was simple: "This has nothing to do with race." When an organization can't define its most basic term, everything downstream stops making sense too.

This is what it looks like when confusion runs an institution instead of moral clarity.

Today it's a women’s sports league.

Tomorrow, it could be our great nation.

What should be obvious to everyone is that these lunatics should absolutely, positively never be given the keys to run anything — not even a fantasy football league.

Eleven years ago today — August 10, 2015 — I started podcasting in a bedroom closet.

It was my wife's closet, not mine. She got the bigger one.

Turns out all those clothes hanging in there did double duty — they cut down the echo too.

My setup was about as basic as it gets: a basic MacBook Air and a simple digital microphone.

That was it. That, and a dream I'd been carrying around since 1999.

We called the show The Antidote to Liberalism originally because our message was proven, scientifically of course, to stop and even reverse the dangerous side effects of liberalism.

About a year in, I got my first shot at radio in Indianapolis, on a station called Freedom 95.

We're still on that same station today, eleven years later.

Our very first time slot was 2 AM. Not exactly primetime.

Things have changed a lot since those days. Today we're on more than 20 stations across the country, and this podcast sits in the top 3% of all podcasts in the world by total downloads.

We've had our share of struggles on social media over the years too. But in just the last 60 days, our podcast clips have been viewed nearly 5.5 million times on Facebook alone — the most we've ever reached by far.

I'm not telling you any of this to brag. In fact, I don’t even think this is anything worth bragging about!
